It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the College of Postgraduate Studies of Federal University Lokoja – a centre for outstanding scholarship and the beacon of academic excellence.

The College of Postgraduate Studies was established on 4^th October 2017, to provide robust and innovative postgraduate programmes that are geared towards producing high level manpower that have undergone intensive quality postgraduate training and are globally competitive. In pursuance of these objectives, the college commenced academic activities with the concept of providing a platform for creativity, scholarship, entrepreneurship, enquiry, personal initiative, and integrity, in tandem with the University’s vision of being the best among the newly established Universities in Nigeria and one of the top-ten ranked Universities in Africa.

In our quest to offer internationally competitive postgraduate education, we have, pivoted, adapted, and evolved. We have, reformed our processes for efficient service delivery, initiated collaborations – both within and outside the shores of Nigeria, introduced new programmes across a wide range of disciplines, and especially, provided a conducive atmosphere for our students, as well as seasoned academics who teach and supervise them as they go through their academic pursuit. Also, we are leveraging technology to enhance students’ learning experience and theoretical and cutting-edge research-oriented knowledge.

I, therefore, invite bright and creative minds, who feel passionately about broadening their academic horizon, and are determined to break new ground in postgraduate education – anchored on research that is truly international, interdisciplinary, and above all impactful – to study on our Adankolo and Felele campuses.
